In-N-Out still won’t deliver, so freelance couriers on Facebook Marketplace are doing it instead, according to Pablo Goldstein at L.A. Material. Over two weeks, Goldstein found 11 drivers advertising In-N-Out runs from Santa Barbara down through Los Angeles, Orange County, and the Inland Empire, with one in Glendora asking $50 in fees on top of the food. Goldstein’s own test order, paid upfront through Zelle, never showed up, and buyers have no way to get their money back because the drivers aren’t tied to In-N-Out or any delivery app. In-N-Out sued DoorDash in 2015 for selling its food without permission, and CEO Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson said this year that delivery would cost the chain its freshness and in-person service.
