eFormed Ventures bought Outdoor Life, the hunting, fishing, and camping magazine founded in 1898, from Recurrent Ventures for an undisclosed price, and it plans to turn the title into an AI-driven outdoor gear marketplace. Outdoor Life makes money from affiliate links today, but eFormed wants to sell gear from outside retailers and brands through a store it owns outright, while keeping the editorial staff whose reviews and field tests will feed that store. The marketplace will run on eFormed’s own AI system, Resonance 2.0, which weighs a shopper’s location, the season, browsing activity, and past purchases to match them with products and prices.
