eBay will stop counting eBay Live transactions toward sellers’ Seller Level, Service Metrics, and Top Rated Plus eligibility on October 15, according to Liz Morton at Value Added Resource. Those programs change what sellers pay on regular sales, since a Below Standard rating adds 6% to final value fees while Top Rated sellers can get 10% off on qualifying listings. eBay told Live sellers it will grade their livestream performance separately because Live orders don’t behave like the rest of the marketplace, but it hasn’t said what standards it will use or what penalties could apply. eBay expects most Live sellers to keep or improve their status, and any downgrade caused by the switch won’t take effect until eBay’s November 20 evaluation.
