eBay is rolling out bundled discounts, which take a percentage off automatically when a buyer orders several items from the same seller, with tiers set separately at two items, three, and four or more, according to Liz Morton at Value Added Resource. Sellers have to opt in, but once they do, every eligible listing is enrolled by default and anything new they list joins automatically unless they go in and exclude it. Partial returns are repriced rather than refunded at the rate the buyer originally paid. In eBay's own example, three $10 items bought at 30% off come to $21, and returning one reprices the other two at the 20% tier, so the refund works out to $5 instead of $7. Sellers in eBay's community forum expect that math to produce disputes.
