commercetools launches Core Commerce and Product Catalog as standalone modules enterprises can adopt without replatforming

by | Jul 17, 2026 | Latest E-commerce News & Updates

commercetools launched two standalone modules, Core Commerce and Product Catalog, letting enterprises modernize pieces of their stack without a full replatforming project. Core Commerce handles enterprise cart, order management, checkout, and B2B needs, built to absorb Black Friday-scale peaks. Product Catalog spans product modeling, pricing, inventory, and catalog across millions of SKUs, with search and pricing built in. Both run on commercetools’ Sphere platform and plug into existing systems, giving enterprises a faster on-ramp to AI-assisted and agentic commerce through machine-readable product data. Modules are available now for new customers and extend a modularization push that followed commercetools for Builders and its Commerce Integration Layer, per the company’s announcement.
