Ascerta, formerly Pay-i, raises an $18M Series A led by Dell Technologies Capital to measure what enterprise AI costs and returns

Ascerta, an enterprise AI measurement startup previously called Pay-i, raised an $18M Series A led by Dell Technologies Capital, bringing its total funding to $22.9M. Three Microsoft veterans founded the company in 2024 and launched it as Pay-i last year with a $4.9M seed round to track AI spending, and the new name comes as it widens that to how employees use AI and what return it produces. Ascerta connects to tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, Salesforce Agentforce, and coding tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude Code, then traces cost down to individual model calls and matches each use case against the business metrics it was supposed to improve, so companies can see which AI projects to expand and which to shut down.
