Meta added an AI assistant to Edits, the video editing app it launched last year to compete with TikTok’s CapCut, that draws on a creator’s Instagram views, likes, shares, follows, and retention to answer questions about what’s working and what isn’t. Instead of reacting to a single viral reel, it looks for patterns across a creator’s past posts and current trends, then suggests concepts, hooks, captions, and audio for the next video. The assistant is free until a creator reaches a daily prompt limit Meta hasn’t specified, and higher limits come with its Meta One subscriptions, which top out at $499 a month.
