OuterSignal raised a $22 million Series A co-led by Long Journey Ventures and Abstract Ventures for software that pulls a brand’s customer list from its commerce platform or CRM and fills in who each buyer is using publicly available information. Brands like AG1, HexClad, True Classic, and Jones Road Beauty use those profiles to build segments by persona, send different email flows to groups like college students and executives, and hand tighter audiences to ad platforms. HexClad and AG1 said it also surfaced creators and influencers who were already buying from them. OuterSignal, which launched in January and says it works with thousands of brands, is putting the money toward hiring, its research engine, and a feature that writes each marketing message individually for every customer.
