Anthropic is in talks to invest $200M in a new venture alongside major private-equity firms including General Atlantic, Blackstone, and Hellman & Friedman, with the total raise targeting $1B, according to people familiar with the matter. The new company would act as a consulting arm for Anthropic, embedding its AI tools into the operations of PE firms' portfolio companies, mirroring a similar effort by OpenAI internally dubbed DeployCo that recently reassigned its COO to lead. The move extends Anthropic's enterprise push, which also includes a separate $100M program to support consulting firms helping businesses adopt Claude, as the company reported annualized revenue exceeding $30B and said it is in talks with banks about a potential IPO.
