Affirm’s gross merchandise volume rose 34% to $14.4 billion in its fiscal first quarter, which ended September 30, while revenue grew 35% to $1.26 billion and net income roughly doubled to $164.2 million. Active Affirm Card holders more than doubled to 6 million, and Affirm expects $17.9 billion to $18.2 billion in GMV for the holiday quarter. Affirm still expects the first pilots of Affirm Edge to go live in the first half of 2027, letting banks and credit unions offer its loans inside their own mobile apps while Affirm originates and services them. President Michael Linford said on the earnings call that progress has been slow because bank partners “don’t move exceptionally fast.”
