Google Ads tests automated bidding for Video Reach campaigns that sets CPMs itself to spend the full budget and maximize reach

by | Oct 14, 2026 | Latest E-commerce News & Updates

Google Ads is testing automated bidding in beta for Video Reach campaigns, so advertisers can leave the Target CPM field blank and let Google set and change bids in real time to spend the whole budget while reaching as many people as possible. The option covers efficient reach and non-skippable campaigns, and advertisers can switch back to a manual Target CPM at any point, including from ad group settings or reporting tables. Because Google is optimizing for spending the budget rather than hitting a price, advertisers with firm cost limits give up control over what they pay per thousand impressions.
