Meta launched Meta Enterprise Platform, a new unit that sells its AI products to businesses, and hired MongoDB CEO CJ Desai to run it as chief enterprise platform officer reporting to Mark Zuckerberg. The unit covers the Muse agent, the Muse Code programming agent, the Muse API for developers who want Meta’s models, and Meta Business Agent, which answers customer questions on WhatsApp, and its first priority is getting companies and developers to adopt Muse. Desai leaves MongoDB after 11 months in the top job, and MongoDB shares fell more than 18% on the news, with Dev Ittycheria, his predecessor of 11 years, returning as interim CEO.
