eBay lost VP of Buyer, Seller & C2C Blair Ethington on September 18, closing a second run of nearly four years that she marked with a LinkedIn note giving no hint of what comes next, according to Liz Morton at Value Added Resource. Two days earlier eBay had listed her on a senior leadership panel at eBay Open UK, where she never appeared and CEO Jamie Iannone took the slot instead. Ethington picked up the seller half of her title last November, after Xiaodi Zhang moved from VP Seller Experience into VP Global C2C and left the organization behind seller tools, shipping, stores, and feedback without a direct owner. Her exit reopens that question for business sellers, at a point when eBay is pouring money into casual selling through Tise, Depop, and Live.
