Udaan, an Indian B2B e-commerce platform, is planning an IPO for late 2027 or early 2028 and expects the whole company to turn a profit before 2028, CEO Vaibhav Gupta told Peerzada Abrar at Business Standard. Udaan has talked about listing for five years, but three years ago Gupta shrank the company from about 80 cities down to roughly 16 clusters while narrowing what it sells to groceries and staples, which cut revenue to less than half its peak. Losses have narrowed every year since, to ₹1,055 crore in FY25, and Gupta projects 10% to 12% revenue growth for FY26 with losses down another 20% or so. Rather than enter new cities, he wants growth to come mostly from retailers Udaan already serves placing orders more often, filling bigger baskets, and buying across more categories.
