OpenAI is hiring an agency partner for its ads team to sign joint business plans with agency holding companies and make ChatGPT ads a regular part of their media budgets, according to Trishla Ostwal at Adweek. Under those plans, an agency typically pledges a year of client spending to one platform, which in turn gives it lower prices, measurement support or first looks at new products. Agency deals would help OpenAI close in on what it has promised investors, which is $2.5B of ad sales in 2026 and $100B by 2030. Gartner analyst Andrew Frank said the harder sell is convincing agencies that ChatGPT ads produce results that Google or Meta can’t deliver more reliably.
