Tubi and TikTok announced the Creatorverse Incubator, a joint program that will select TikTok creators to develop scripted and unscripted original series for the Fox-owned streaming platform, with the first cohort of participants to be announced later this summer. The program expands on Tubi's existing Stubios initiative, which helped up-and-coming filmmakers develop streaming projects, but is more directly focused on leveraging creators' existing TikTok audiences. TikTok is keeping both distribution strategies open simultaneously, prompting some viewers to download its separate PineDrama app after watching, while also hosting 20 third-party short-drama feeds directly within its minis program.
