TikTok is adding voice comments, creator polls, photo carousels, and Live Photo comments to its comment sections. Voice comments let anyone record up to a minute of audio, which other viewers tap to play back. TikTok said the audio falls under the same Community Guidelines as everything else on the app, with speech-to-text transcription and human reviewers used to catch violations. Creators can attach a poll to comments on their own videos with up to five options and a time limit, then watch the votes land under the video. Comments can also carry nine photos at once instead of one, and Live Photos play a short burst of motion. Voice comments and photo carousels reach everyone over the next month, with voice restricted to users 18 and older, while polls and Live Photos are available now.
