TikTok now allows U.S. users to download its Android app directly from its website after Google removed it from the Play Store due to a U.S. ban. Users can sideload both TikTok and TikTok Lite easily by downloading and installing the APK. While Google enforces strict rules for Play Store apps, TikTok asserts that its direct download remains secure, with ongoing third-party security audits. Meanwhile, iPhone users must rely on a web browser, as Apple still prohibits sideloading in the U.S.
