StockX Live adds NBA, NFL, and MLB trading cards with card-break rules that ban random team assignments, wheels, and dice

StockX Live added NBA, NFL and MLB trading cards on October 8, so sellers can now run auctions for graded slabs, raw singles and sealed product, including card breaks, according to Liz Morton at Value Added Resource. Under StockX’s new Card Breaking Policy, a buyer has to purchase a specific team, player or other defined slot, and random assignments, wheels, dice and random number generators are banned even when a third-party service runs them. StockX doesn’t vet repacks the way eBay and Whatnot do, and instead has sellers confirm that each one comes from an established maker with six months or more of history. The rules arrive as Whatnot faces arbitration claims alleging that some of its breaks and repacks amount to illegal gambling, which Whatnot denies.
