SIBS acquires Polish payments firm ITCARD, operator of the Planet Cash ATM and Planet Pay terminal networks

SIBS, a Portuguese payments company with experience across ATM and POS processing, e-commerce solutions, and card issuance, acquired ITCARD to strengthen its omnichannel payments presence in Poland, where ITCARD serves financial institutions and merchants under outsourcing and white-label models. The deal, subject to regulatory approval, will bring roughly 470 ITCARD employees into SIBS and expand the firm's footprint deeper into Central Europe. Founded in 2010, ITCARD operates the Planet Cash ATM network and the Planet Pay terminal network, and handles Visa and Mastercard card issuance under both branded and white-label arrangements.
