Shutterstock launched a connector for Anthropic’s Claude that lets users search and license its images, video, music, and sound effects without leaving the assistant, pitched at work like presentations, briefs, campaign concepts, and internal communications. Paul Teall, Shutterstock’s VP of marketplace strategy, said customers run AI tools alongside their traditional creative software but the two stay largely disconnected, which leaves people short of output they can use commercially. The connector follows a Shutterstock app for ChatGPT, and lands five weeks after the company’s merger with Getty Images fell apart over Getty’s refusal to sell off Shutterstock’s editorial business, which UK regulators had demanded.
