Shopify is losing Deann Evans, its managing director for EMEA, who announced on LinkedIn that she’s leaving after five years and said she spent the past four weeks away from work weighing what to do next. She didn’t name her next job, and credited her team with widening Shopify’s European standing from a platform known for small businesses into one used by first-time founders and large enterprises alike. Evans left pointing at agentic commerce, citing the billion-plus products in the Shopify Catalogue that are structured for AI discovery, plus the partnerships letting merchants sell through major AI platforms.
