Shopify is rolling out its foundational B2B features to merchants on all non-Plus plans for the first time, giving them access to company profiles for wholesale buyers, up to three custom catalogs with tailored pricing, volume discounts, quantity rules, vaulted credit cards, and payment terms, all within a single unified admin alongside their DTC operations. Previously these tools were exclusive to Shopify Plus, which costs significantly more, meaning smaller merchants had to rely on third-party plugins or manual workarounds to manage wholesale. The move targets the $36 trillion global B2B e-commerce market, with Shopify data showing merchants who adopt its B2B features see up to a 33% increase in self-serve orders within six months and up to a 4.1x increase in reorder frequency compared to DTC orders.
