Shopify opened Shop Campaigns to UK merchants, a program where the seller names what it will pay for a new customer and Shopify does the media buying against that number across the Shop app, Meta, Google, X, Snap, and Pinterest. Merchants produce no creative and build no audiences, and they are charged only on a converted sale rather than per click, which leaves Shopify carrying the cost of any traffic that doesn't buy. The program has been running in the US and Canada, and UK sellers already shipping to both markets get placements there as well. Shopify is positioning the UK launch as pre-Black Friday ad infrastructure for merchants with no in-house marketing team.
