Sam Altman’s World expanded its human verification platform with new integrations across Zoom, DocuSign, Tinder, Okta, and Shopify

World, formerly known as Worldcoin, upgraded and open-sourced its World ID protocol and launched a standalone app, announcing partnerships with Zoom for deepfake-resistant video verification, DocuSign for confirming human-signed documents, Tinder for expanding its real-person profile verification from Japan to the U.S., and Okta and Vercel for verifying human approval of AI agent actions. The company has enrolled roughly 17.9 million users globally, with about 1.1 million in North America, and is positioning its iris-scanning identity system as an increasingly necessary layer as AI agents make it harder to distinguish humans from bots online. World plans to expand its orb network in San Francisco, New York, and Los Angeles so most residents are within five to ten minutes of a verification location.
