Ryft raised £20 million in a Series B led by Gresham House at an undisclosed valuation. The UK payment services provider is using the money to move into Europe and the US, and it has applied to the Malta Financial Services Authority for a full EU licence that would let it passport across the European Economic Area. Ryft sells embedded payments to marketplaces, platforms, and retailers, covering card acceptance, recurring billing, automated split payments, seller onboarding, and escrow. It added FX conversion and payouts in more than 35 currencies this month, so merchants can settle cross-border without a separate provider. Ryft says more than 6,500 businesses use it, among them Epos Now and Sprive.
