Are you funded?
No, we're bootstrapped.
Who do you serve?
Our ideal clients, across B2B and B2C brands, are willing to participate in the process, trust our team as communicators, and are eager for success.
What's standout about Notably?
We’ve built and sold companies ourselves, so we know how high the stakes are for startup founders. We put ourselves in the shoes of our clients and always ask, “is the ROI there?”
What's next at Notably?
We currently serve 20+ clients across various industries, from biometrics to cleaning products to telehealth platforms. Since we started in 2020, we have bootstrapped from 0 to seven figures and grown to a talented team of fifteen. Notably is currently in its growth stage, we are always looking to partner with new clients and expand our talented team.
This year Notably is launching an accelerator program for pre-seed companies to help founders and leadership develop the necessary materials to raise their next round of funding. This is a 60-day engagement with our team and includes:
• Spokesperson media training
• Personalized media training
• Creative storytelling and brand messaging
• Elevator pitch
• Go-to-market press release
• Website copy review and strategy
• CEO/Founder LinkedIn
We believe these brand-building strategies will optimize and drive high growth for early-stage companies.
What's next in your niche?
PR is at the precipice of some truly exciting things, but I think they have been tainted with the notion that artificial intelligence can easily take away our jobs. I strongly disagree, and here’s why: AI can lead to defamation. AI can't build relationships. AI can't replace higher human tasks. AI can't handle the unexpected. Don't get me wrong, AI is awesome. But many don’t realize that PR is more than just writing a press release or “spinning a story,” which, sure, AI can help with. The core of what we do includes creativity, the ability to quickly and efficiently synthesize complicated jargon for the average person, emotional intelligence, collaboration, rapport, trust, crisis management, and interview prep. This is a sampling of what PR pros do daily & today’s AI is nowhere near this.
Who should I interview next?
Mohamed Lazzouni, chief technology officer at Aware, would be a great guest to speak to as the company is launching a biometric authentication plug-in for WordPress/Woocommerce websites. This enables any Woocommerce customer with a WordPress website to integrate AwareID with a click of a button. For instance, an online gambling website can enable AwareID to use facial scanning to confirm the user is 21+ years old, and geolocation to confirm their physical location to ensure state laws are not violated and prevent scams associated with duplicate accounts created.
Cathy Tie, CEO and founder of Locke Bio, the “Shopify for the health industry.” Cathy is a remarkable young woman, having founded a successful, multi-million dollar biotechnology company at the age of 18 (Ranomics) during her freshman college year at the University of Toronto. She then dropped out of college after being awarded a Thiel Fellowship to work on her company full-time, raised $2MM of venture capital for Ranomics and eventually sold the company for an undisclosed amount. Now, her focus is on making Locke Bio the go-to solution for anyone looking to start an e-commerce-driven business selling pharmaceutical products.
What's one thing the public doesn't know about your professional background that has led you to this point in your career?
I founded and sold my own business, Pretty Litter, after appearing on a documentary-style show for entrepreneurs on ABC Family called Startup U. I know what entrepreneurs go through when building a business – and I also know how to promote one. So, having experience on both sides of the coin really helps me to understand the intricacies of startup life and how to get the most out of an often limited budget.
What's one thing you wish more people paid attention to in the world?
Each animal gives so much to humanity, from sustaining a viable ecosystem on Earth to sharing beauty, instinct, and diversity that is more fragile than many of us realize. The world has lost over half its biodiversity in the last 40 years, so time is of the essence to spread the word about every extraordinary creature. That’s why I started a blog on weird and unusual creatures, Featured Creature, to draw more attention to the animals that get time in the spotlight.
