Neon raises a $13M Series A with Krafton joining as strategic investor to build direct-to-consumer stores for game publishers

Neon raised a $13M Series A that included Andreessen Horowitz and Renegade Partners, with Krafton joining as a strategic investor, bringing total funding to $27M. Neon builds the payments and commerce infrastructure game publishers use to sell directly through their own web stores rather than through the App Store or Google Play. CEO Chris Faught told GamesBeat that some studios working with Neon now take 50% to 70% of gross revenue through that direct channel, up from a high-water mark of 25% to 30% when the company last raised. Krafton signed with Neon in summer 2025 and left the partnership unannounced until this week. Faught credited last year's Epic rulings against Apple and Google with driving publishers toward web stores, though he expects the rules on linking out to keep shifting while the Supreme Court weighs Apple's appeal.
