Musk’s X and SpaceXAI must show a judge any Apple agreements behind their dropped antitrust claims after OpenAI objected

X Corp and SpaceXAI have to turn over any agreements they struck with Apple behind their decision to drop their antitrust claims against it, under an order Judge Mark Pittman issued Wednesday in Fort Worth. The two Musk companies dismissed the Apple claims this week without giving a reason, while keeping the same claims alive against OpenAI, and OpenAI then moved to compel X to say what the resolution with Apple actually was. The suit accuses the pair of working together to lock up the AI market, partly by manipulating App Store rankings, and leans on the 2024 deal that put ChatGPT in the iPhone. Pittman will read whatever agreements exist himself rather than making them public.
