AIUC, short for Artificial Intelligence Underwriting Company, raised a $40M Series A led by Ribbit Capital and has now raised $55M in total. The startup, whose customers include Cursor, Lovable, Harvey, and ElevenLabs, audits AI agents against AIUC-1, a standard modeled on SOC 2 that it wrote with input from roughly 250 security and risk executives who buy agents. Each audit puts an agent through roughly 5,000 tests for jailbreaks, hallucinations, and data leaks, with AI running the tests and sorting the results before humans sign off on a report of about 100 pages showing where the agent holds up and where it fails. Co-founder Rune Kvist was an early Anthropic employee, and co-founder Rajiv Dattani was COO of METR, which tests frontier AI models for the major labs.
