Meta’s AI app Muse pulled 1.8 million iOS downloads in the US and Canada during its first 12 days, against 1.3 million for ChatGPT over the same stretch after its own mobile debut, according to estimates from Apptopia. Muse is also running 642,000 daily users in the US to ChatGPT’s 231,000 at that point, and it stays ahead when Apptopia strips out Android and counts only its 359,000 iOS dailies. The app has 2.8 million installs worldwide and has climbed to No. 1 on the US App Store, with more than 95% of its users also on Facebook and 63% on Instagram, the same cross-promotion that carried Threads past 500 million users. Apptopia has no access to Meta’s own numbers, and Meta hasn’t published anything on how Muse is doing.
