Meta disclosed roughly $279 billion in leases that haven't started yet and sit off its balance sheet, up 53% from $182.88 billion three months earlier, according to its quarterly securities filing. The leases span data centers, colocations, and network infrastructure, and they begin between the rest of this year and 2036 on terms running from one year to 30. Meta signed about $68 billion more in data center leases during July, after the quarter closed, which start in 2027 and 2028 on 18 to 20 year terms. The company separately reported $349.31 billion in non-cancelable commitments, with $53.52 billion due this year and $81.65 billion next.
