Meta says it fixed an issue after Ray-Ban Meta owners reported their glasses recording conversations without hearing Hey Meta

Meta says it fixed a problem that owners blamed for their Ray-Ban Meta glasses capturing conversations when no one had said “Hey Meta,” according to Hillary Keverenge at Android Authority. One owner said on Reddit that three pairs, from the second and third generations, saved audio and transcripts of everyday conversations to the Meta AI app after a recent firmware update, even with the option to respond without the wake phrase turned off. A few other owners reported the glasses’ internal light switching on unprompted, but Android Authority couldn’t reproduce it. Meta didn’t explain what went wrong, saying only that the issue was resolved and that users can review and delete their voice logs in settings.
