Meta pulls an Instagram ad touting Muse’s ability to show who unfollowed you, a feature Instagram has refused to offer its users

Meta pulled an Instagram ad promoting its Muse AI agent’s ability to show users who unfollowed them each week, a feature Instagram itself has refused to offer, according to Katie Notopoulos at Business Insider. Marketing newsletter writer Rachel Karten spotted the ad about a week ago, and Meta confirmed the ad has been taken down. Instagram head Adam Mosseri has said the app leaves out unfollow tracking so people feel free to drop accounts they’ve lost interest in. But Muse still offers it, and when Notopoulos asked, the agent started watching her follower list and flagged one unfollow within two days, though it can’t look back at past unfollows.
