Meta opened Muse Voice to all US users, letting them call or video chat with an animated avatar of Muse, its consumer AI agent, on mobile, web, and Mac. The avatar, a cartoon character nicknamed Jolly that users can restyle as a person, animal, or other figure, changes its expressions and gestures to match how the conversation is going. It can only hear the user, not see them, and reacts to what they say. Meta first showed the feature at its Connect conference in September and plans to add it to Meta’s AI Glasses and to Muse Charm, a palm-sized device that puts the Muse avatar on a small screen and is due before the end of the year.
