Lantern pivots to AI search optimization, helping e-commerce brands get products recommended by ChatGPT and other LLMs

Lantern, an e-commerce marketing startup that launched in 2024 around customer loyalty, has refocused on tools that advise brands how to get their products recommended more often by LLMs, according to Business Insider. Founder Andrew Lissimore pivoted after prompting ChatGPT about his own audio brand, Headphones.com, and finding it went unreferenced, and he has since hired ex-Amazon engineers and built an internal model that predicts how a brand’s products surface in AI queries. Lantern charges $99 a month with custom enterprise pricing, and is raising more capital to expand technical talent and cover token costs. It enters a crowded GEO and AEO field alongside players like Jasper and Daydream, betting a purely e-commerce focus on individual product visibility sets it apart.
