Klarna partnered with FreshBooks to put its payment options inside FreshBooks invoices for service businesses in the US and Canada, with Stripe running the integration and no extra setup for FreshBooks users. Customers who get one of those invoices can pay in full, split the bill into four interest-free payments, or finance it over time, so a mechanic can offer pay-in-four on a repair while a contractor offers financing on a renovation. FreshBooks users still process and reconcile those payments inside the software they already use for billing. The deal adds to Klarna’s push into service businesses that bill by invoice rather than through a checkout page, after it brought the same payment options to plumbers, electricians, and other home-service pros through Housecall Pro in August.
