Google brings its AI “Try On” virtual fitting tool to the Philippines, letting shoppers preview clothes on their own body before buying

Google is rolling out its AI-powered “Try On” tool in the Philippines, letting shoppers upload a full-body photo and see how apparel from its shopping listings and partner merchants would actually look on them. A fashion-focused generative model maps the garment to the person's frame and simulates how the fabric stretches, drapes, and casts shadows, returning a personalized preview in 5 to 15 seconds. Shoppers tap a “Try it on” icon on supported listings in Search and the Shopping tab, then switch between sizes, colors, and styles, and participating merchants can link straight from the preview to their own checkout. The feature, part of Google's wider AI Mode shopping experience, was previously limited to U.S. test users and is pitched as a way to cut returns and take the guesswork out of buying clothes online.
