Gap Inc. hired Justin Breton as vice president of development starting August 31, putting him in charge of developing and producing original content across the company’s brands. At Walmart he ran partnerships, content and emerging experiences for six years, creating Camp by Walmart, putting the retailer into Roblox commerce, and building its gaming presence. Breton reports to Pam Kaufman, the former Paramount executive Gap installed as chief entertainment officer this year to run what CEO Richard Dickson has branded fashiontainment. Gap has been building out that side since, adding Paramount’s Lourdes Arocho as head of licensing in May and hiring another Walmart veteran, Michael Francis, as Old Navy’s chief customer officer the same month. Q2 earnings land Thursday.
