Etsy added ad groups to Etsy Ads, letting sellers sort advertised listings into as many as 20 groups and read each group’s performance separately, according to Liz Morton at Value Added Resource. Etsy is separately showing some sellers a prompt asking whether they want extra ad budget released once shop revenue hits a goal they set, with the seller picking how much more to spend and Etsy reverting to the usual daily cap on days the goal is missed. Nothing appears to be built behind it yet, since clicking through only makes the message go away. Etsy hasn’t said whether the goal would count every sale in a shop or only the ones its ads produced, so a viral post or a seller’s own campaign could end up releasing more ad spend. Today a seller’s ads simply stop once the daily budget is gone.
