eBay opened Promoted Stores Custom to every eligible seller paying for an eBay Store, eight months after announcing the cost-per-click ad option in January and then limiting it to a test group. Sellers can now target as many as 1,000 listings and feature 10 of them in the ad, where eBay previously built most of these campaigns itself and pointed them at Store category pages or coupons. Clicks can go to any eBay page, and testing by Liz Morton at Value Added Resource found that eBay Live events and storefronts from its Ambassador affiliate program both work, which opens paid traffic to livestreams and influencer pages. The daily budget still isn’t a hard cap, since eBay can spend up to twice that amount on a given day as long as the monthly average holds.
