ClearJet raised a $25M Series B led by Edison Partners, taking the Austin company to $40M since 2022, according to Crunchbase News. The company owns no planes or trucks, and instead sells retailers space in the unused cargo hold of passenger flights already running between US cities, across a network of 95 US airports. Retailers connect through an API and generate a two-day label, then ClearJet collects the packages, sorts and screens them, loads them onto commercial flights, and hands them to final-mile carriers including FedEx, USPS, DoorDash, Uber, OnTrac, and Veho. Founder Chris Guggenheim said the model takes as much as 35% out of shipping costs and one to three days off delivery, and that ClearJet is profitable, with revenue more than tripled from a year ago and nearing nine figures.
