The BBC is set to announce a partnership with YouTube to produce bespoke programs for the platform to reach younger audiences. The broadcaster plans to monetize the content through advertising outside the U.K. while eventually hosting the shows on its own iPlayer service. This move follows data indicating YouTube viewership recently overtook the BBC’s combined channels in the region.
