BAG Ventures, run by former Google vice president Bonita Stewart and former CapitalG partner Jackson Georges Jr., closed an $11.3 million fund for early-stage AI startups, writing checks of $100,000 to $500,000 with Google among the 150-plus LPs behind it, according to Dominic-Madori Davis at TechCrunch. The firm has backed 10 companies so far, among them the AI travel booking startup BizTrip, and it pitches founders on warm introductions to enterprise buyers through its operator network. Georges said enterprises are done experimenting and now pay for tools that finish specific jobs inside their workflows, and that startups that are “just a thin wrapper around a frontier model API” will get wiped out.
