AWS is in talks to add SpaceX's latest Grok models to its flagship AI platform Bedrock, according to people familiar with the matter. The platform, launched in 2023, lets customers build AI applications using models from multiple providers, already including Anthropic, Meta, Cohere, and OpenAI, which AWS added earlier this year. SpaceX has reportedly already shipped its models to AWS, suggesting a rollout could happen soon, though no launch date is set. For SpaceX, the partnership would broaden Grok's reach beyond X and add a major base of enterprise cloud customers ahead of the company's planned IPO. Microsoft and Oracle made Grok available through their cloud services last year. CEO Andy Jassy said on the Q3 earnings call that AWS was building Bedrock to be the biggest inference engine in the world. SpaceX recently acquired xAI and turned it into its AI compute division under the new name SpaceXAI.
