Amazon is fixing an Alexa+ bug that makes some Echo speakers repeat “la” over and over, sometimes in a singsong voice, for several minutes before stopping, often mid-conversation, the company told Android Authority. Asked about it afterward, Alexa reportedly has no memory of doing it. Owners have been posting videos on Reddit for about a month across several Echo models, and some of them blame a recent software update. Amazon said the bug hits “a small number of Alexa Plus” users, a group that includes the non-Prime customers it now charges a subscription for the assistant, and it gave no date for the fix.
