Amazon received Federal Communications Commission approval to expand its low-orbit satellite constellation to more than 7,700. The company deployed 32 satellites last month to bring its active total to over 200. Amazon currently trails Starlink and requested regulatory permission to push back a 1,600-satellite deployment deadline to 2028. The company secured a partnership with Vodafone to serve remote zones of Europe and Africa and plans to roll out customer service this year.
