Amazon cut a “small number” of roles in its Selling Partner Services organization this week, the team that works with millions of third-party merchants on onboarding, logistics, and account support, a company spokesperson confirmed. The reductions follow roughly 30,000 job cuts announced in waves last October and January, plus a small round of cuts in Amazon's robotics division in March, as CEO Andy Jassy continues a multi-year push for efficiency and cost discipline. The cuts coincide with Amazon's aggressive AI expansion across retail operations, customer service, advertising, and logistics, with Jassy previously warning that generative AI will help “reduce” the company's workforce over time as teams automate routine tasks.
