Alibaba lost the head of its Qwen AI division after Lin Junyang announced his resignation in a social media post. Two other senior executives, including post-training lead Yu Bowen and research scientist Hui Binyuan, also departed the company this year. The leadership changes occurred as monthly active users for the Qwen mobile application surged to 203 million in February. Company shares dropped 4% during Wednesday’s trading amid a broader market selloff.
