Affirm announced Affirm Edge at its first investor forum since 2023, a new product that embeds its BNPL and installment loans directly inside banking apps, letting bank customers see their purchasing power and browse Affirm’s marketplace without leaving their bank’s app. The product will be sold through tech resellers FIS and Fiserv, with Affirm originating and servicing the loans, and targets a $140B total addressable market based on 130M active debit card users with roughly $2,000 of annual incremental spend per user. Old National Bank, which did over $60M in BNPL transactions last year with 40,000 active customer pay plans, is in talks to offer the product, and Affirm laid out new medium-term targets of 25%+ annual GMV growth and an eventual $100B trailing-12-month GMV, up from $46B today and $21B at its last investor day in November 2023.
